Tell us what is bothering you
It is important that you feel comfortable with your midwife/ultrasound specialist. Because being pregnant is an exciting period in itself. This is the reason that we do our best to care for you and your baby. Are there any questions bothering you? Doubts? Is there something you’re not satisfied with? Tell us about it. Preferably as soon as possible, but even if you’ve had this feeling for some time. Then we can discuss it together and we can try to solve it as quickly as possible. Perhaps we can clear up a misunderstanding. Or put your mind at rest. Or treat you in a way that you feel more at ease.
We are happy to make a separate appointment with you. Then we have time to talk to you. If you find it difficult to discuss this, you can take someone you trust to this appointment.
Consult a “Klachtenfunctionaris”
Do you want to know more about your rights or do you want advice? Or do you want to discuss your complaint with someone else first? Or do you prefer someone helping you to file a complaint? Then contact the “Klachtenfunctionaris”
The Klachtenfunctionaris is not biased. They discuss with you what you are dissatisfied with and what you would like to achieve with your complaint. They advise you what you can do. They also help you start a conversation with us if you find it difficult to talk about the complaint. Or to write a letter about the complaint. The Klachtenfunctionaris can help you and us to find a solution together. Everything you tell the Klachtenfunctionaris is confidential.

Contact a Klachtenfunctionaris through klachtverloskunde.nl.
The midwife tries, possibly together with the klachtenfunctionaris, to handle your complaint within six weeks. Within this period you will receive a message from us about what we have done with your complaint. If you cannot find a solution with the midwife and the mediation of the klachtenfunctionaris, you can submit your complaint to the Geschilleninstantie Verloskunde. This independent organisation investigates and assesses whether your complaint is justified. It makes a binding decision on this.
